RTA Earns Global Acclaim for Groundbreaking Dubai Traffix Programme


 Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has once again placed the emirate on the world map for innovation, securing global recognition from the Global Benchmarking Network for its pioneering Dubai Traffix programme. The initiative has been accredited and classified within the prestigious seven-star category, earning distinction as one of the most innovative best practices in traffic engineering worldwide.

This recognition highlights Dubai’s global leadership in adopting advanced engineering systems and reaffirms the city’s growing role in shaping the future of urban mobility. Through RTA’s forward-thinking approach, Dubai continues to set international standards for sustainable, technology-driven infrastructure development.

Developed by RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, the Dubai Traffix programme is an advanced digital platform designed to revolutionize how traffic impact studies and infrastructure planning are conducted. The system integrates land-use data with transport and road strategies, ensuring that urban development aligns with Dubai’s rapid expansion. By creating a seamless connection between urban growth and mobility planning, Dubai Traffix supports efficient decision-making and future-oriented transport solutions.

Since its inception, the programme has had a transformative impact on Dubai’s urban development process. It has facilitated more than 4,000 traffic impact studies and enabled over 180 agreements with major development partners. These collaborations have ensured that transportation networks and infrastructure projects are optimized for current demands while anticipating future mobility needs.
