  On October 25, 2024, the  UAE  government introduced significant revisions to its traffic laws, including a reduction in the minimum age for obtaining a driving license from 18 to 17. This reform is part of a larger federal decree designed to modernize the country’s traffic regulations in line with global transportation trends. The new regulations will come into effect on March 29, 2025. Key Changes Introduced : Minimum Age for Driving License : The minimum age for getting a driving license has been reduced to 17, making the UAE the first country in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to make such a change.
