Dubai’s RTA Launches Major Road Upgrades Across 40 Key Locations This Summer
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched an ambitious project to upgrade traffic infrastructure at 40 critical locations across the city, with the implementation scheduled between June and September 2025. The comprehensive initiative is part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to enhance road safety, improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and support the city’s growing urban and economic landscape. The improvement works will span across 22 major roads, 9 school zones, more than 5 development areas, and various internal road networks in prominent districts such as the Tolerance District, Al Khawaneej 2, and Nad Al Sheba. The upgrades are strategically planned to be carried out during the summer holiday period, a time when traffic volumes are generally lower, to minimise disruptions for road users and ensure smooth implementation with high safety standards.
