UAE Ranked Safest Country in the World Again in 2025 - Here's Why

The United Arab Emirates has once again claimed the title of the safest country in the world, according to the 2025 midyear update of Numbeo’s Global Safety Index. This is not the first time the UAE has received this recognition, and it’s a title that continues to reflect the nation’s commitment to security, low crime, and overall public safety. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, the UAE’s safety is noticeable — from walking alone at night to leaving personal belongings unattended in public spaces, or even taking a taxi at 2 AM without a second thought.

The Numbeo Global Safety Index evaluates countries based on how safe residents feel and the level of crime in the area. After temporarily slipping to second place in March 2025 behind Andorra, the UAE has reclaimed the number one position midyear. This ranking is not only a reflection of the country’s low crime rate but also of the efficient law enforcement systems, strict regulations, and general culture of respect and community.
