Dubai Revises Parking Tariffs in Key Zones: New Rates Effective Immediately
Dubai’s largest public parking operator, Parkin PJSC, has announced a revision of parking tariffs across several key areas in the city. The changes, which are effective immediately, were made public through the company’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
The tariff update primarily targets Zones W and WP, covering prominent and bustling neighborhoods such as Karama, Al Qusais, Madinat Dubai, Al Melaheya, and Al Kifaf. These areas are known for their high traffic volumes and heavy demand for parking spaces, prompting the need for a restructuring of the parking fees to ensure better availability and smoother traffic management.
For Zone WP, which covers the Al Kifaf area, a new differentiated pricing model has been introduced based on peak and off-peak hours. During peak periods — specifically from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm — motorists will now be charged Dh6 per hour. During off-peak hours, the rate will be slightly lower at Dh4 per hour. This dynamic pricing strategy aims to regulate parking demand more effectively during the busiest times of the day, encouraging drivers to either adjust their schedules or opt for alternative transport methods during peak periods.
Meanwhile, in Zone W — covering Karama, Al Qusais, Madinat Dubai, and Al Melaheya — a simpler flat-rate model has been maintained. Motorists parking in these areas will be charged a uniform fee of Dh4 per hour throughout the day, regardless of the time. This approach offers ease and consistency for drivers in these busy districts while still promoting quicker turnover of parking spaces.
Parkin PJSC emphasized that Sundays and public holidays will continue to offer free parking across all zones. This policy remains unchanged and is intended to support residents and visitors during weekends and national celebrations without the added concern of parking fees.
