The Palm Jebel Ali Project is set to advance significantly in 2024.

 


Nakheel, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding’s innovative real estate division, Dubai Holding Real Estate, has achieved notable advancements in the development of Palm Jebel Ali this year, with the project advancing rapidly to meet the milestones set for 2025.

The initial phase of villas and plots at Palm Jebel Ali, introduced in late 2023, achieved a remarkable sell-out speed following the unveiling of the masterplan, as reported by Nakheel, who provided an update on the project’s advancement. This underscores the significant demand for waterfront properties, a sector in which Nakheel has established a strong reputation for development.

In alignment with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the seven islands of Jebel Ali, extending over 13.4 kilometers and featuring 16 fronds along with more than 90 kilometers of coastline, mark the initiation of a new development corridor in the Jebel Ali region, underscoring the emirate’s growth.

In May of this year, DBB Contracting LLC received the contract for the construction of a new roadway that will serve the central area of Palm Jebel Ali. Both DBB Contracting LLC and Dutco Construction Co. LLC, which are part of the Dutco Group, are recognized as prominent civil and marine contractors in the United Arab Emirates. Upon completion, the new public access road will offer a well-designed and aesthetically pleasing route extending over 6 kilometers directly to Palm Jebel Ali.

In August 2024, Nakheel granted a contract valued at AED 810 million to Jan De Nul Dredging LTD. for marine operations on Palm Jebel Ali. Work has already begun on various activities, including dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement, which are essential for the development of villas throughout all fronds. The initial eight fronds of the project are anticipated to be ready for site activities by the first quarter of 2025, facilitating the initiation of villa infrastructure and civil engineering works.
